Welcome to Barncroft Junior School website. Whether you are a prospective or current parent/guardian, we hope you find the information here useful, giving you an insight into the curriculum and learning our children develop through. Please also feel very welcome to visit us, we are very happy to meet with families.

The school has an excellent team of governors who are committed to challenging and supporting us to achieve the very best for our children. Our staff is dedicated and committed to improving the school. Our children are supported and encouraged to feel and act like stars! We are caring and

friendly and believe that it is extremely important to ensure all our children are ready to learn and reach their full potential in every lesson, every day. Every child really does matter and we plan for the development of their whole well being – see ‘My STARS’.

We have our own swimming pool and our children thoroughly enjoy gaining certificates for their achievements in the pool. In summer we hold a swimming gala and a very impressive boat race where children are encouraged to design independently or with their family a boat which will cross the breadth of the pool!

Our children love to sing and play musical instruments. We are learning to play ukuleles, samba drums, keyboards and brass and woodwind instruments. Performing to our parents is a unique delight!
